King of the Castle

Playtest build. Hold the castle against waves of chickens, a lowrider-riding mega chicken and a dancing Rasputin.

How to play it

Download, then right-click the zip and choose Extract All.
Open the folder and run KingOfTheCastle.exe.
Windows may say it protected your PC, because the game is not signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway.
On a laptop or an older PC, press O on the title screen until it says GRAPHICS: LOW. The game also lowers it by itself if it runs slowly.

What you need

System	Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
Graphics	DirectX 11. Integrated graphics (Intel UHD / Iris, AMD Vega) work on LOW.
Memory	4 GB of RAM minimum, 8 GB recommended
Disk	about 1 GB free

Controls

Move, jump, sprint	WASD, Space, Shift
Sword	Click for a 3-hit combo. Hold and release for a spinning slam.
Shield	Hold right click to block. Click while blocking to bash.
Use	F opens the gate, side door, rooms, the shop and the mystery box.
Weapons from the box	X swaps to your sword, R reloads.
Lights at night	T plants a torch, G a lantern (buy them from the horse).
Between rounds	TAB upgrades, H posts a chicken archer, ENTER next round.
Xbox controller	Supported. Left stick click is "use".
